General Information about the CCPA
These additional disclosures for California residents apply only to individuals who reside in California. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). You may ask businesses to disclose what personal information they have about you and what they do with that information, to delete your personal information, and not to sell your personal information. You also have the right to be notified, before or at the point businesses collect your personal information, of the types of personal information they are collecting and what they may do with that information. Generally, businesses cannot discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. Businesses cannot make you waive these rights, and any contract provision that says you waive these rights is unenforceable. The words used in this section have the meanings given to them in the CCPA, which may be broader than their common meaning.
For example, the definition of “personal information” under the CCPA includes more general information that describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked (directly or indirectly) with a particular consumer or household such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers, like age.

If and to the extent “sale” under the CCPA is interpreted to include advertising technology activities such as those implemented specifically for interest-based advertising, we will comply with applicable law as to such activity and will wait at least 12 months before asking you opt back in to the sale of your personal information. In accordance with the CCPA, we will not sell the personal information of a child believed to be under the age of 13 unless that that opt-in comes from the child’s parent or guardian. For children who are at least 13 years old but under the age of 16, the opt-in can come from the child.
